DIVING
For the ultimate underwater adventure. PADI Divemasters lead fun dives and assist Instructors around the world. PADI Instructors certify divers with novice through to speciality diving qualifications. Training programmes run 12 months a year in Egypt, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, and here in Cornwall UK.
 
From novice: FAST TRACK PADI Divemaster Programme (6 weeks minimum)
From novice: FAST TRACK PADI Instructor Programme (8 months minimum)
For the qualified Recreational Diver: FAST TRACK Instructor Programme (9 weeks minimum)

SKIING / SNOWBOARDING INSTRUCTOR
Our courses offer the chance to live and travel within the Swiss Alps, which boast beautiful scenery and fantastic skiing/snowboarding from Dec-April. Qualifying to Instruct in the Swiss Alps will allow you to gain seasonal work in a number of resorts in the Four Valley Region.

Under the tuition of some of Europe's top instructors, you can qualify to Instruct or undertake a Personal Performance Course if you are not ready to instruct.

For the experienced Skiier / Snowboarder: FAST TRACK Swiss Snowsport Programme (4 weeks minimum)
From novice: Personal Performance Course. Individually built around your skills / interests.

ADVENTURE TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
EBO is looking for individuals who want to become qualified outdoor adventure training instructors. On completion of these intensive programmes you will the opportunity to gain employment.

From novice: NARS Beach Lifeguard, Coasteering Assistant Group Guide, PKSF Powerkiting, Landbuggy and Landboarding Instructor, BCU Kayaking Star Awards, Climbing preparation.
For the experienced individual: Tailor-made programmes, can include Single Pitch Award, Kitesurfing Instructor Training, BCU Kayaking Coaching Awards.

SAILING
We offer courses and programmes in The UK, Turkey as well as the Canary Islands. Professional Sailing qualifications allow you to travel the world and get paid.

Sailing comes with a lot of responsibility but when you know what you're doing it can become a challenging and exciting career or an enjoyable pastime.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE GAP YEAR MARKET
After the Second World War, it was believed that if young people travelled the world and met each other there would be a greater understanding of different cultures and consequently a greater chance of world peace. In the 60's, hippy trails to India evolved and in the 70's and 80's student travel really began to take-off. By the early 90's, the concept of a gap year between school and university had become particularly well-established amongst school leavers and has since expanded to other market sectors such as university students, university leavers, career breakers and early retirees.

THREE MAIN MARKETS - Are you one of them?
Pre-university: Those taking time off from study to broaden their skills and knowledge and experience new cultures before starting university.
Career Gappers: Those taking time out between jobs (becoming very common). At Gap Year Diver we focus on people aged between 23 and 36 who are undecided about what they want to do in life and who shift between jobs regularly.
Early Retirees: Those aged between 50 and 70 who are 'empty nesters' (kids left home) and who have finished their careers and want to experience the world.

Taking a gap year is one of the most valuable opportunities you have to gain skills and have some of the most amazing experiences in your life, which is exactly what we got through EBO; an adventure packed, adrenaline filled trip where you get to explore a whole new underwater world. EBO provided a tailor made course for us both, in Thailand, with excellent instruction from a very friendly and helpful team. We made loads of friends, from all over the world, while completing the course from Open Water through to Rescue Diver standard (first aid included, looks great on the C.V!!).
When we first decided to take a gap year we were unsure of what we wanted to achieve, but after completing EBO scuba diving courses we would reccommend it to anyone & everyone (swimming with sharks is magical and for those who are less brave the smaller fish are just as wonderful ;) !).
